Leaving Posterous and Going Back to WordPress

As of today, I’ve ported over copies of all my blog posts from Beating the Bounds on the hosted service on Posterous to my personal domain at stephenfrancoeur.com where I use WordPress. The new address will be:

I’m going to leave the Posterous site up for a while (maybe forever), but all posts after this one will exclusively be found at the new address. The URL for the RSS feed is still the same, so you shouldn’t need to change anything in your feed reader (all 40 of you).

That Feels Good

Posterous is helping me scratch an itch to publish online. It hits a sweet spot somewhere between microblogging and blogging. Maybe it’s just Tumblr on steroids. Oh, by the way, I am composing this post in my email client and just sending it via email. I’ve also got a Posterous bookmarklet that’s got a few cool tricks up its sleeve. If you highlight text on the web and then use the bookmarklet, Posterous will use feature that excerpted text in your post (as well as link back to the original page that it came from).
